Kim Reeder

Kim Reeder’s power pitching for Notre Dame High School’s softball teams reached a level that gave her state and national recognition.

Among her high school honors were California Gatorade Player of the Year, 3-time NFCA First Team All-American, 3-time First Team All-State, CA Small School Player of the Year, CA Medium School Player of the Year, CA Sophomore of the Year, San Jose Mercury News Player of the Year and Sports Focus Player of the Year.

Kim pitched Notre Dame to four Central Coast Section CCS titles. She did not allow an earned run her sophomore season, was named California Gatorade Player of the Year her senior year, with a record of 25-2 and a batting average of .440.

She then went on to Ohio State where she was named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American while pitching the Buckeyes to the Super Regionals for the first time in school history. As a starting pitcher as a sophomore, she pitched the Scarlet and Gray to win 2007 Big Ten Regular Season and Tournament Championships, landing her in the Ohio State Hall of Fame.

She was then offered a contract to play professionally in Italy where she had a career ERA of 1.81cwith 1247 strikeouts in 104 innings for Unione Fermana.

She stayed involved in softball as a pitching instructor and recruiting liaison, launching her own business Seven Strong Softball, where she has helped many into the college ranks.
