Evan Blake Smith

2004 Salinas High School graduate Evan Blake Smith enjoyed a ten-year career in the NFL. Beginning in 2009, he spent 5 years as an offensive lineman for the historic Green Bay Packers. During this time, he was a member of the 2010 team that defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV. He went on to play another five years for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and retired in 2019.

Prior to his NFL career, he received a full-ride scholarship to Idaho State University, where he played in 45 games. Evan served as the Bengals’ team captain, was named MVP, and was a weightlifting champion. He also earned All-Conference honors four years in a row. He graduated in 2009 with a degree in Sports Management before being signed by the Green Bay Packers.

During his football career as a Cowboy at Salinas High School, Smith earned numerous honors, including The Golden Helmet Award, MVP, and Athlete of the Year. He was also named All-County Lineman by The Salinas Californian and The Monterey Herald, earned All-League honors as both an offensive and defensive lineman, and was a member of the varsity team that won the 2001 CCS Division II Championship.
