Alex Golomeic
Alex Golomeic spent 30 years as an instructor at Hartnell College and from 1976-2006 coached the men’s soccer and tennis teams to numerous championships. Five years into his coaching career he was selected for one of the Outstanding Young Men of America award.
Coach Golomeic built the Hartnell Men’s soccer program into a perennial NorCal force. His teams won six Coast Conference titles, eaned a birth in the Nor Cal playoffs 12 straight years, reached seven NorCal semifinal matches and in 2005 advanced to the state tournament Final Four. He was Northern California soccer Coach of the Year in 1989, 1996, 2004 and in 1989 received National Coaches of America honors. In 2017 he was inducted into the Hartnell College Hall of Fame and the California Community College Soccer Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
In tennis, it was more of the same as the Panthers claimed three conference crowns, placed second in the state tourney once and reached the NorCal championships once.
